Size: 2 to 2.5 m, 80 to 90 kg. Females larger than males
Calves at birth: 70 to 75 cm
Teeth: 27 to 33 slender, sharp-pointed teeth on each side of upper
and lower jaws
Food: Fish (catfish), mollusks and crustaceans
Habitat: Rivers
Range: Indus River system within the provinces of Sind and Punjab,
Pakistan
Status: Endangered species. Close to extinction. About 500
individuals left
